Data sources and credits
Where our open job and skill data comes from, and how to read what the free tools show.
Open data we use
Parts of Prepvo’s free tools and example resumes use open data. We credit the sources here, once, as the licences ask.
O*NET® data
This site includes information from the O*NET 31.0 Database by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (USDOL/ETA). Used under the CC BY 4.0 license. O*NET® is a trademark of USDOL/ETA.
Mithila Labs, which runs Prepvo, has modified all or some of this information: we shortened it and re-listed it, and use it for job duties, tools, and tool and subject names. USDOL/ETA has not approved, endorsed, or tested these modifications. O*NET data describes U.S. jobs and is a general guide only.
ESCO
Some skill and tool names come from ESCO, the European classification of skills, competences, qualifications and occupations (© European Union), licensed under CC BY 4.0. We shortened and re-listed names, so changes were made by Prepvo. Prepvo is not endorsed by the European Commission.
How to read what our tools show
Everything our free tools show is general information. It is not a recommendation, advice, or a prediction of how any employer will decide. Please check anything important yourself, independently, with the employer or other reliable sources. Prepvo does not guarantee that any resume or application will be shortlisted.
